Up: Dezeen curated installations for London Design Festival

Following the last article of anti-gravity design, we see something hanging up again, this time in open space.

For London Design Festival this year, Dezeen collaborates with Seven Dials village in Covent Garden for a special installation. Seven designers were invited to create exciting aerial artworks that took inspiration from history of Seven Dials. For example, Designer Faye Toogood has 49 overcoats hung up to represent various trades that have shaped Seven Dials since 1740. Gitta Gschwendtner works with ladders that mirror the underground cellars and vaults that once lurked below Seven Dials’ streets (it’s aerial ladders again, if you read the last article.)
